AREGE is a Japanese term and ARE means 'that' which indicates somewhere distant from the speaker, usually connotes something the speaker didn't like to refer to directly. And 'GE' means speaker's assumption. So 'AREGE' in my view means something beyond from here so it is something that we cannot contact directly, which is aweful, respectful, great, terrific, excellent, superior, etc. with combined meaning of something dubious, doubtful, uncertain, undetermined, unsettled, fluctuating.
As for me, I spent 5 or 6 hours at night before the screen (in my case it's only one!) in Slashdotting, I might be another 'AREGE' other than you.
